SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Lane County residents can get a behind-the-bun look at the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile this week. The famous car cruised into Springfield Wednesday. Even though it’s been around for decades, it still draws in crowds.
“It’s been on the road for 76 years, so it’s an American icon that kids and adults and grandparents love to come out and see the wienermobile,” said Wienermobile driver “Kevin Bacon Bits”.
“We took lunchtime to come here and started squealing the minute we saw it,” said visitor Brenda James.
The Wienermobile will make several more stops around Lane County Thursday and Friday.
