West Albany Wins Boys Golf State Title

CORVALLIS, Ore.– Senior Conner Kumpula shot a 1-under par 71 to lead the West Albany High School boys golf team to a 5A State Championship at Trysting Tree Golf Club on Tuesday.

Kumpula finished 4-under par for the tournament to earn individual medalist honors. The Bulldogs ended up with a two-day total of 612, to win by seven strokes over Bend High School.

At the 6A level, Lake Oswego won its second straight state championship with a total of 575 (1-under). Sheldon finished seventh, 46-over par.
