Wet Stuff Coming This Weekend

Justin’s Wednesday Night Forecast Discussion:

More fog is already underway tonight. We saw a nice sunny day, rare for this time of year, and we’ll repeat that again for Thursday. Starting off in the upper 30s with partly cloudy skies by the afternoon and highs back into the mid to upper 50s.

Once we head to the weekend though, things start to get a bit wetter. Some evening showers are possible Friday with a strong system bearing down on us for Saturday and Sunday. With the ESPN Gameday crew in town this Saturday, expect to need the rain gear, especially if you’re headed down early Saturday morning for the start of the show and likely through both the Duck and Beaver games later that day.

Sunday another strong storm will blast in on Sunday night into Monday. That one has the potential to be a substantial windmaker and may be our first big windstorm at the coast this season. Models are showing a series of waves with plenty of rain and mountain snow hitting us about every 24 hours through next week. We’ll have to watch for some minor flooding especially in the coast range next week.

Have a great Thursday!
