METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Plenty of sunshine and blue sky kicked off the holiday weekend. High temperatures climbed near 60 along the coast and near 70 inland Saturday afternoon.
Clouds began to filter in during the late afternoon, ahead of the showers set to move through Saturday night. The showers will be heaviest overnight, but will continue for the first part of Sunday. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s inland, upper 50s along the coast.
A storm is set to move through Memorial Day; showers will be on and off throughout the day, keeping it wet for Memorial Day tributes, parades and barbecues. Highs in the mid 60s inland, upper 50s along the coast.
Scattered showers continue Tuesday and Wednesday, wrapping up early Thursday, with highs in the mid 60s inland, upper 50s along the coast. Dry and warmer weather is in store by next weekend.
