EUGENE – University of Oregon wide receiver Tacoi Sumler has informed Chip Kelly of his intentions to transfer from the program according to the Ducks’ fourth-year head coach.

The Miami, Fla., redshirt freshman was one of three scholarship wide receivers brought into the program in 2011, with all three players redshirting last season to preserve their four years of eligibility.

The 5-9, 177-pound high school All-American caught three passes for 15 yards in the Ducks’ April Spring Game after enjoying his best prep season as a junior, catching 54 passes for 994 yards and 17 touchdowns for Christopher Columbus High School.
