Wildfires Grow in Central Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. — The Stagecoach Fire, south of the Highway 97 and Highway 31 junction, grew to 400 acres Tuesday morning.

Over a hundred people were evacuated Monday, but the Klamath County lifted the order by Tuesday morning.

Two hotshot crews have taken over command. There’s no estimate on containment at this time.
The cause is still under investigation.

Nearly 350 firefighters continue to battle a raging wildfire on the Warm Springs Reservation. The Sunnyside Turnoff Fire has grown to over 20,000 acres and was 20 percent contained as of Tuesday morning.

Evacuations remain in place for the nearby Kaneeta Resort and Charley Canyon areas.

No structures have been damaged and no injuries have been reported.
