Wind and Rain Coming Today

Justin’s Tuesday Night Forecast Discussion:

The fog has been very stubborn over the past two days and will likely hang in there for early tomorrow morning.  The first batch of rain is here by Wednesday morning, mainly scattered showers. Another, stronger batch blasts through by Wednesday evening. That one will also bring some strong winds with it. Wind gusts could exceed 40-50 mph at the coast and we may finish with a very breezy evening inland here as well. High Wind Watches will be up Wednesday and Thursday at the coast along with a High Surf Advisory for the south coastal beaches.

After that, we’ll get hit with a wave just about every 24 hours or so, so expect to see soggy conditions from Thursday through the weekend. The cold air will stay offshore so highs will hold in the low 50s and lows above freezing. Snow lines also holding between 5000-6000 feet should keep the Passes clean of snow overall but ski resorts will see another nice week of fresh snow. Rainfall estimates may put another 2-4 inches by the end of the week, so we may again be watching for some isolated flooding at times.

Have a great Wednesday!
