CORVALLIS, Ore. — Wine tasting season is here. And with the warmer weather, some Willamette Valley wineries are teaming up for a wine tour in the Corvallis area.
For $20, you can get a passport from the Visit Corvallis center downtown. That passport will get you free wine tasting at 15 different wineries in the area. Each time you get a stamp from a winery, you’re one step closer to winning the grand prize–an overnight stay at Buena Vista Bed and Breakfast in Independence.
Visit Corvallis hopes the passport idea will help bring in more people to the area.
“We’re happy to provide a service like this to the wineries because they’re such an important part of our visitor industry,” said Mary Pat Parker, Executive Director of Visit Corvallis.
Participating wineries include Emerson Vineyards, Spindrift Cellars, and Sweet Earth Vineyards. The deal lasts until the fall equinox on September 22.
