Winter’s Last Gasp This Weekend?

video preview image

CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JUSTIN STAPLETON’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Some light showers are starting to move across Western Oregon tonight and will continue overnight into the Friday morning commute. None of the showers will be that strong and should wrap up quickly, leaving mostly cloudy skies and a bit cooler upper 50s and low 60s for Friday afternoon.

Into the weekend, temperatures cool down just a bit, back down into the mid to upper 50s and another , stronger shot at rain brushes through Saturday afternoon/evening and early on Sunday.  The pattern changes to a colder, more late wintry look next week, which is ironic since we’ll be counting down the last days of winter through Wednesday!

A stronger storm brings down the temps, some heavy showers at times and snow lines Tuesday into Wednesday. In fact, we might see some good accumulating snow at Pass level and above midweek. Highs will also struggle to stay in the low to mid 50s.

Have a great Friday!
