Woman Arrested for Jewelry Store Theft

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Corvallis police arrested the woman they believe stole nearly $10,000 in jewelry.

Melissa Cox faces felony theft charges.

On June 25, officers say when the owner of Anderson Jewelers was distracted, Cox stole two rings. One was worth more than $9,000.

On Thursday, she was taken to the Benton County Jail where she was booked and released.
