COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — A woman died Thursday night after she crashed into a tree on Shadowview Drive near Dorena.
South Lane County Fire and Rescue says at about 4:30 p.m. they found a Ford Escape had crashed head-on into a large tree.
Marylin R. Gardner, 69, of Culp Creek was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Investigators say no other vehicles were involved and the crash is still under investigation.
