Woman Sentenced for DUII Crash

ALBANY, Ore. — An Oregon woman who left the country 16 years ago after causing a fatal drunk driving crash will spend the next six years in prison.

A Linn County judge sentenced Jean Keating to 75 months behind bars.

Last week, she pleaded no contest to DUII and manslaughter charges.

Prosecutors say Keating was driving drunk near Albany in 1997, when she crashed into Jewel Anderson’s car, killing her. Keating had been living in Canada under an assumed name until Canadian police caught her earlier this year.
