EUGENE, Ore. – Women from 26 different countries are in Eugene for a three-week training program titled Women at Challenge. It teaches women with disabilities how to become leaders.
KEZI 9 News Photojournalist Kathleen Spencer spent the day with the group as they took on the Spencer’s Butte Challenge Course.

This was an inspiration to watch. As a person with a chronic disability, it makes me realize just how capable I actually am and that no challenge is insurmountable, only inconvenient and mostly painful. I am so happy to see something like this. I only wish the media would cover more of this type of story and less blood and gore.
