Zeroing In on Dreamliner Problems

(CNN) — After days of testing, federal investigators are zeroing in on what’s wrong with Boeing’s Dreamliner.

The NTSB is looking into whether tiny fiber-like formations inside the plane’s batteries could have caused the problem.

Battery experts say those formations can cause short circuits and possibly lead to fires.

Last month, federal aviation leaders grounded the 787s after a battery problem sparked a fire on one plane and forced another to make an emergency landing.
