LANE COUNTY, Ore. — The Willamette River Valley is certainly a hub for craft breweries. Local beer fans got a chance to discover just how many breweries were right in their own backyard.
Saturday was Oregon’s 5th annual Zwickelmania, a statewide brewery crawl that aimed to showcase the talented microbrewers across Oregon. Some local favorites participated by offering tours and tips for people hoping to brew their own remedies.
Fans of the event say it’s a great chance to discover some local businesses off the beaten path.
“I have the places I always go and it’s nice to branch out and have a community to do it with,” said festival attendee Megan Lynch.
There were 18 breweries from the Willamette Valley that took part in the crawl.
