Spectators have mixed feelings about vaccinated sections at Hayward Field for U.S. Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore.-- Spectators expressed mixed feelings about having vaccinated and unvaccinated sections at Hayward Field for U.S. Olympic Trials.

"I think the separation of vaccinated versus unvaccinated kind of defeats the purpose of being vaccinated," said Sarah Orr.

Ticket holders who want to sit at a vaccinated section must provide full proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

"They did just release tickets of being able to go this event like two weeks ago so I think they've been kind of scambling," said Dan Deacon. "But all in all, I think they're doing a good job."

TrackTown CEO Michael Reilly had said they expect thousands of fans in attendance during the Olympic Trials.

The U.S. Olympic Trials for Track and Field began on June 18th and is going until June 27th.
