EUGENE, Ore. -- BRING Recycling is putting on a workshop this weekend, and you’ll leave with a bird and bat house.

They’ll have pre-cut and pre-drilled kids ready to go Saturday at the Planet Improvement Center, 4446 Franklin Blvd. After you put it together, you can decorate it with all kinds of upcycled materials, which will be provided by BRING.

Organizers said birds and bats are important in our ecosystem and are fun to watch in your yard.

The workshop is part of the “Make It!” series. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a $5 suggested donation per participant, and kits are limited and will be provided as supplies last.

Lunch will be available for purchase at a food truck starting at 11.
