LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- Do you have debris left over from February’s snowstorm? Lane County wants to make it easier for residents to recover from the winter storm.

The county is opening four temporary locations where you can drop off downed trees, branches and limbs for free.

On three Saturdays -- April 27, May 4 and May 11 -- residents can bring their debris to one of the following locations:

  • Rattlesnake Transfer Station, 82572 Rattlesnake Road
  • Marcola Transfer Station, 38935 Shotgun Creek Road
  • Oakridge Transfer Station, 48977 Kitson Springs Road
  • Fall Creek temporary stockpile area, milepost 2 on the north side of Place Road

The county will not accept lumber, building wood waste, yard trimmings, garbage or material from commercial entities like yard maintenance companies.

They will be open between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on those days.
