EUGENE, Ore -- The Eugene Police department is recruiting teen volunteers for its upcoming Safety Town summer camp.
Safety Town is 2-week comprehensive educational program for students entering kindergarten in the upcoming 2018-19 school year. The program is scheduled July 16 through July 27 at Prairie Mountain Middle School and covers 30 plus safety topics.
EPD is looking for teen volunteers, ages 13-19, to act as camp counselors during camp. The teen recruitment application deadline is May 1.
Teen applicants must undergo an interview, background process and then a mandatory 3-hour training on Saturday, July 14.
