ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Community Cancer Center in Roseburg is teaming up with the Downtown Roseburg Association for the Power of Pink street festival.
The event kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, and there will be fun for the whole family. There will be live music, food trucks, games for kids and vendors set up in the downtown area. Admission is free.
Businesses can donate part of their proceeds for a day or an article they sell and donate it to the cancer center.
“It goes right back into helping patients who can’t afford treatment,” Executive Director Tammy Turner said. “That’s how we ensure we can still treat them.”
At 11:30, you can put your pink on and show support for breast cancer awareness and prevention with the March on Cancer at Eagles Park.
KEZI 9 Checks In is a monthly reminder for women to do a self breast exam to check for any lumps or changes. You can sign up for KEZI 9 News Checks In, and we’ll send you a reminder each month.
