Lane County rolling out new recycling program

One study found that 80% of apartment renters want access to recycling.

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane County is rolling out a new recycling program for apartment buildings and other properties with multiple tenants.

Officials said clear instructions and signs are the best way to show people how to sort recycling.

One study found that 80% of apartment renters want access to recycling.

Property owners who want to take part in the pilot project can register on the Lane County website.

Eugene, Springfield, Creswell and Florence require property owners and managers to provide recycling in buildings with five or more units.
