EUGENE, Ore. – Duck and Goose visited KEZI 9 News for a second time on Tuesday and hope to find a new home in time for the holidays.

These two female Chihuahuas were recently rescued from a hoarding situation, where they lived with more than 90 other dogs. Since then they have been given medical care and special attention at Greenhill Humane Society, and they are now ready to leave the shelter and become part of a family.

The dogs are quiet and reserved and are looking for a calm and patient family that will understand their unique background. However, they also have a playful side and have shown no signs of fear when meeting new people. During both visits to KEZI they have been friendly and calm.

Shelter staff members say Duck and Goose are closely bonded and it is important for them to stay together. They are 10 years old, and their adoption fee is $120 for the two of them to go to the same home. The fee includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Every Tuesday, Greenhill Humane Society showcases homeless pets on KEZI 9 News Midday at 11 a.m.
