EUGENE, Ore. – Baxter is a sweet 1-year-old dog who loves to play and has a gentle disposition.

Baxter will be a great match for a family who will give him plenty of attention and take him on many adventures. He is described by shelter staff as a happy goofball who loves to play. He is recovering from successful eyelid surgery, and will be even more playful once he is fully healed.

This friendly dog could possibly go to a household that already has a calm dog. He can also go to a family with children as long as they are respectful and can handle his energy level.

Baxter weighs about 65 pounds and his fee is $200. This fee helps pay for shelter expenses such as vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.

Baxter was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.

If you are interested in Baxter or the other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, more information is available here. A video of Baxter can be watched here.
