EUGENE, Ore. – Bender is looking for an active family ready to give him plenty of love and attention.

This 7-year-old bull terrier mix has a joyful personality and lots of energy. He is a happy, loving dog who enjoys wigging his tail and bouncing around outside.

Ideally Bender will find a household that is quiet but also active. He would enjoy daily walks and a nice yard where he can run around and play. He can go to a household with older, respectful kids. A home with cats would not be a good idea for this energetic guy.

Bender weighs about 50 pounds and has been at Greenhill Humane Society since June 25. His adoption fee is $175, which helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Bender was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. If you are interested in Bender or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.

Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily by appointment only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Adoptions are also currently by appointment only.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
