EUGENE, Ore. – Bonnie is a sweet, energetic pit bull terrier mix who enjoys playing with toys and is especially fond of chasing flying discs.
This lovable dog hopes to become part of an active family that will take her on adventures during the day and cuddle on the couch with her at night. She loves to go outside and run around in the yards at Greenhill Humane Society.
“Bonnie has the funniest personality and is such a cutie,” one Greenhill staff member said. “She’s a very gentle, loving gal and will be a very loyal companion. I love her!”
She arrived at the shelter with a broken tail and fleas, but she has healed and is ready to go home with a family. She is friendly and enjoys the company of children, but can be a little rough during playtime. She should be the only pet in the home.
Bonnie is 1-year-old and weighs about 50 pounds. Her fee is $200, which helps pay for shelter expenses such as vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.
Bonnie was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Appointments are available.
To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
