EUGENE, Ore. – Cappy is a playful 3-year-old pit bull terrier mix who loves to chase after balls and play with toys.
He is an active dog who would be great to take along on hikes and other outdoor adventures. Staff and volunteers at Greenhill Humane Society say he is good at entertaining himself with toys and he is a favorite for outdoor play in the yards at the shelter.
“He can be nervous when meeting new people, but once he knows you, he is forever yours,” said Megan Brezovar of Greenhill Humane Society.
Cappy can go to a home with older children and he should be the only pet in the home.
Cappy weighs about 50 pounds. He has been at Greenhill since July 4, and his adoption fee is $200. This fee helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.
Cappy was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. If you are interested in Cappy or the other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.
Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily by appointment only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Adoptions are also currently by appointment only.
To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
