EUGENE, Ore. – Cassie is a friendly dog who recently raised a litter of puppies and is now ready become the center of a lucky family’s world.
Cassie loves to run, play and smell everything she possibly can. She is described by Megan Brezovar of Greenhill Humane Society as a sweetheart who is “pure joy and love.”
Cassie needs a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but once she does she starts to wiggle and will smother a new person with kisses.
Cassie is a little fearful of other dogs, so will need to be the only dog in the home. She would do best in a family with older children, as her energy level may be too much for little ones.
Cassie is a 5-year-old pit bull terrier mix and weighs about 45 pounds. Her adoption fee is $175. This fee helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.
Cassie was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. If you are interested in Cassie or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.
Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily by appointment only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Adoptions are also currently by appointment only.
To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
