EUGENE, Ore. – Dillon is a 10-year-old cat who loves attention and lap time.

He is a social cat who lived successfully with other cats and dogs in his previous home. He is likely to do fine in a family with other pets, as long as introductions are slow. He likes having access to the outdoors, but spends most of his time at home.

Dillon will need a family that will help him lose weight. He currently tips the scale at 24 pounds. Because he has no experience with children, he’s probably not a good choice for a family with young children.

Dillon’s fee is $55, which helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Dillon was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. If you are interested in Dillon or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.

Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily by appointment only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Adoptions are also currently by appointment only.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
