EUGENE, Ore. – Fred is an 8-year-old dog that ended up at Greenhill Humane Society after the death of his owner.

He is a calm, friendly dog who enjoys snuggling in his kennel with Greenhill volunteers. Shelter staff members describe him as a curious dog who loves walks and likes spending time with people.

The perfect home for Fred is probably slower-paced with daily opportunities for walks and plenty of affection. He could live in a family with children ages 10 and older. Ideally, he will be the only pet in the home.

He weighs 58 pounds and is a Rottweiler/Doberman Pinscher mix. His adoption fee is $85, which includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Every Tuesday, Greenhill Humane Society showcases homeless pets on KEZI 9 News Midday at 11 a.m.
