EUGENE, Ore. – Harley is an affectionate tabby cat looking for a calm, quiet household.
This sweet, social cat likes people and needs a household where she will get plenty of care and attention. Her former owner said she would be happiest as a mostly-indoor cat living with a couple, a single person or a quiet family. She doesn’t like loud noises or a lot of activity, and would prefer a family with no children or dogs. She may be fine with other cats after a slow introduction period.
Her new family must commit to helping her lose weight, as she overate in her previous home. She should be encouraged to be as active as possible and maintain a special diet so she can get back to a healthy weight.
Harley is looking for an indoor home with occasional access to a safe place outdoors to enjoy the sunshine.
Harley is 6-years-old and her fee is $55. This fee helps pay for shelter expenses such as vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.
Harley was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
