EUGENE, Ore. – Minnow is a fearful dog that will need someone who can help her gain the confidence she needs.
She will be a good companion for the right person, and once she gains your trust she will be a loyal partner.
Minnow needs adult owners who have experience in rehabilitating dogs with fearful behavior. Her new family must be committed to helping her work through these issues, including getting help from a certified trainer.
Minnow will need her new family’s undivided attention to help her overcome her fearfulness. Other dogs are too much for her right now, so she must be the family’s only dog. Her history with cats is not known.
Potential owners should talk to the trainer at Greenhill prior to meeting Minnow. Multiple meetings may be necessary before Minnow leaves the shelter.
Minnow is a mixed-breed dog with a high energy level. She is 8 months old and weighs about 45 pounds. Her adoption fee is $185, which helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.
Minnow was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. If you are interested in Minnow or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.
Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily by appointment only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Adoptions are also currently by appointment only.
To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
