EUGENE, Ore. – Moose is a young, active dog who needs a family willing to see that he gets plenty of exercise each day as well as some basic training.

Megan Brezovar of Greenhill Humane Society said he needs someone who will teach him how to be the best dog he can possibly be. “Moose is a giant, active goofball who loves to play with toys and people. He is not fond of other dogs and may be too much for cats, but he will bring so much joy to a family.”

She said Moose loves to snuggle after a long day of play. He has a lot of energy and would do best in a family with adults or teenagers. He should be the only pet in the home.

Moose is 1½ years old and weighs about 80 pounds. He came to Greenhill Humane Society from another shelter.

Moose was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. If you are interested in Moose or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.

Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily by appointment only from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Adoptions are also currently by appointment only.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
