EUGENE, Ore. – Mushu loves to fetch and is particularly good at keeping himself entertained while playing with a toy.
This young pit bull terrier mix can be nervous in new settings, so he’s looking for a patient family that will allow him time to get comfortable in his new home. He has a good history with children ages 4 to 17 years old. He especially likes those who are old enough to throw a ball for him to chase.
Mushu has been quiet at the shelter, but staff members believe his outgoing personality will come through and shine with his new family. He is likely to have a high energy level once he settles in. He should start out as the only pet in the home.
Mushu is 1½ years old and weighs about 60 pounds. His fee is $200, which helps pay for shelter expenses such as vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.
Mushu was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503. Appointments are available.
To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
