EUGENE, Ore. – Otis is a 1-year-old beagle looking for a home where he will get lots of love and attention, along with regular exercise and training.
He is ready to go on adventures that will allow him to make use of his amazing nose. He would also enjoy having a yard where he can romp around and play.
Beagles are vocal by nature, so Otis is not a good choice for apartment living. He could go to a family with older children. He is full of love and will be a great match for a family is looking for a sweet young hound dog.
Otis has a high energy level and will need consistent training and exercise to help him achieve his full potential as an great dog. He should be the only pet in the household.
Otis is just over a year old and weighs 28 pounds. His adoption fee is $250. This fee helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
