EUGENE, Ore. – Petey is a friendly Yorkshire terrier-mix who would make an easy adjustment to living with many families.

Petey is 11-years-old and is a sweet little lap dog who could become part of a family that already has a dog. He could also live with children. He hasn’t yet lived with cats, but because he is so easy going, he could probably adjust to living with a dog-savvy cat.

Petey enjoys cuddling, being held, playing with small toys and exploring outside. He does well in the car and is a quiet little dog in his kennel at Greenhill Humane Society.

Petey weighs about 13 pounds and his fee is $85, which includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Petey visited KEZI 9 News as Pet of the Week. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. If you are interested in Petey or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.

Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
