EUGENE, Ore. – Shala is a female adult rabbit available to take home from Greenhill Humane Society.

She is a calm rabbit with a sweet personality who loves to be petted. She is spayed and litterbox trained. Her former owner said she is mellow and easy to care for and will tolerate sitting on laps for short periods of time.

Shala’s fee is $50, which includes a certificate for a free veterinary exam. Her age is not known, but a rabbit’s lifespan is typically 6 to 10 years.

Shala visited KEZI 9 News as Pet of the Week. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. If you are interested in Shala or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.

Greenhill Humane Society requires that rabbits are adopted into indoor-only homes.

Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
