EUGENE, Ore. – Shenzi is a young dog that came into the animal shelter as a stray and is likely part cattle dog.

He is an energetic little dog and will need an active home with a family committed to his enrichment and ongoing training. He is friendly to everyone he meets and also likes to cuddle.

Shenzi seems to like other dogs, but must to go a home without cats.

He came into Greenhill Humane Society as a stray and is estimated at 4 years old. He weighs about 13 pounds and his fee is $200. This fee helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Shenzi visited KEZI 9 News as Pet of the Week. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. If you are interested in Shenzi or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.
Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
