EUGENE, Ore. – Spencer is a young pit bull terrier mix ready for a family that will commit to some training to help him gain new skills and confidence.
Spencer is a sweet dog who loves to run and play with toys. He will need a yard where he can burn off some of his youthful energy every day.
Spencer should start out as the only dog in the family. He would do best in a household with older teenagers or in an adult-only home. He is shy when first meeting new people, and his ideal home will be a calm place where he has time and space to blossom. He will make a loyal companion for the right family.
Spencer is 1½ years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He arrived at Greenhill Humane Society from another shelter on Feb. 9. His fee is $200, which helps pay for shelter expenses such as vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.
Spencer was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
