EUGENE, Ore. – Stella made such a good impression during her appearance on the KEZI Midday show Tuesday that she went home with a new family that afternoon.

Stella, a 7-year-old Chesapeake Bay retriever mix, won the hearts of everyone at the station with her sweet, friendly disposition and calm demeanor.

Stella became available for adoption at Greenhill Humane Society when her owners could no longer care for her.

Although Stella has found a new family, there are plenty of other dogs and cats still looking for new homes. If you adopt a pet from Greenhill Humane Society or First Avenue Shelter, the adoption fee includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday ewscast at 11 a.m.
