EUGENE, Ore. – Tonto, a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, would make a nice pet for many families.
Tonto is blind, but uses his senses of smell and hearing to compensate. He likes other dogs and could also live with cats.
He can live in a family with children, but will need some special consideration to help him learn a new environment and to keep him safe in the household.
Tonto is playful, enjoys going for walks and likes to snuggle.
His adoption fee is $185, which includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.
Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. If you are interested in Tonto or other animals at First Avenue Shelter or Greenhill Humane Society, click here.
