EUGENE, Ore. – Whipper is a 12-year-old Patterdale terrier mix who is at Greenhill Humane Society and ready to become part of a family.

Whipper is shy when meeting new people and should go to a quiet, adult-only home. He could go to a home with another dog, but must meet the dog at the shelter ahead of time to make sure they are compatible. He could probably go to a home with a dog-savvy cat.

Whipper is described by shelter volunteers as energetic for his age. He is a calm, quiet little dog who will make a wonderful companion for the right people.

He has been at Greenhill since Feb. 7, and is ready to make his next home his last home.

He weighs about 25 pounds and his fee is $85. which helps pay the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Whipper visited KEZI 9 News as Pet of the Week. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. If you are interested in Whipper or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.

Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
