EUGENE, Ore. -- If you have to evacuate, here is where to go.

For the Holiday Farm Fire east of Springfield, the evacuation center at Thurston High School is moving to Springfield High School. It is being set up at Silke Field. All evacuees should head to the new location, and volunteers should start bringing any donations this afternoon.

Below are additional smoke and fire respite centers in Eugene and Creswell, which will be open Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.:

  • Lane County Events Center, 796 W. 13th Ave., Eugene
  • New Hope Baptist Church, 597 S. Front St., Creswell
  • Coburg City Hall, 91136 N. Willamette St., Coburg

The Lane County Events Center has been expanded to a 24/7 clean air shelter than can house up to 15 homeless people. Lane County continues to work with homeless service providers to provide N95 masks for distribution.

A second overnight smoke respite shelter has been opened by the city of Eugene at 717 Highway 99N. St. Vincent de Paul has been contracted to operate the site.

Access to the overnight respite centers is available through referral through White Bird. You can call their 24-hour crisis line at 541-687-4000.

Residents east of Blue River have been evacuating to the Deschutes County Fairgrounds, which is serving as a Red Cross Evacuation point and is on stand-by as an alternate livestock and animal location. Indoor shelter accommodations are available in the event center. RV spots, horse stalls and livestock spots are available. No items are needed at this time.

The Douglas County Fairgrounds are open for evacuees of fires in the county, many of which are burning near Glide. For more information on the center and how to help, click here.

The Linn County Fairgrounds, Coos County Fairgrounds and Oregon State Fairgrounds have also been helping house evacuees and their livestock.
