Fire at Diamond Lake prompts Level 3 evacuations

DIAMOND LAKE, Ore. --  A Level 3 Evacuation Order has been issued for all homes, cabins, recreation sites, and the lodge at Diamond Lake. Residents and visitors should evacuate immediately.

Officials say there is a significant wildfire burning near the lake.

They advise that those who choose to ignore the order must understand that emergency services may not be able to rescue them.

Be aware that Highway 138E is currently closed at Dry Creek. Alternate routes may be Highway 230 or Highway 97.
