Lane Fire Authority conducts live fire training on Sunday

This exercise was conducted at an acquired structure off of Clear Lake Road on Sunday.

LANE COUNTY, Ore.--- Lane Fire Authority conducted a live fire training exericse at an acquired structure off of Clear Lake Road on Sunday. This took place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Officials said this was an opportunity for Lane Fire Authority to gain valuable live fire training in a controlled and safe setting.

Lane Fire Authority conducts at least two acquired structure burns every year and are often used for training of new firefighters.

Residents were advised to stay off the area due to smoke and fire equipment.
