GLIDE, Ore. -- The Archie Creek Fire is now at 107,000 acres and remains 0% contained.
The fire merged with the Star Mountain Fire, and as of Wednesday, the flames have been moving west due to hot, dry, windy conditions.

Today, fire managers are working with local fire departments on point protections and local loggers on construction of control lines.
There are about 3,000 evacuations from the Glide and Idleyld Park area alone. Officials are still working to determine how many structures have been damaged.
American Red Cross has relocated their temporary resource center to the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Highway 138E remains closed to non-fire traffic between milepost 17 and 47. Drivers should use alternate rounds and check TripcCheck for updates.
The cause of these fires is under investigation.
