ROSEBURG, Ore. – Some areas of the Umpqua National Forest are closed to the public due to the Jack Fire.

The closures are in effect as of Wednesday and will be in place through Feb. 28, 2022 unless lifted sooner.

Officials say it’s all meant to protect firefighters and the public as crews fight the wildfire.

The public will not be allowed to be on a closed road, go into a closed area or be on a closed trail.
