2 suspects arrested in connection to stabbings in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore – Police have arrested two people in connection to three stabbings.

Police arrested Jorin Mays of Springfield and Kathrine Lounsbury of Springfield in connection to an incident that happened last November.

Both individuals are being held at the Lane County Jail and are facing charges of assault.

On November 18, police responded to a large fight near 99 W Broadway in Eugene.

Police said three people had stab wounds. They said two of the victims were Hispanic and the third victim was a bystander who attempted to stop the fight. Police said the men sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Additionally, police said racial slurs were used toward the victims before the stabbings.

At this time, police are searching for a man named Eric Mays. Police describe him as a 31-year-old man who is 5’10 and 230 pounds. If anyone has information regarding his location, they are asked to contact police at 541-682-5868.
