Cougar spotted in Winston Thursday morning

A man told police he saw a cougar near his home in Winston.

WINSTON, Ore. -- Police are asking the public to keep an eye out after a cougar was spotted in Winston.

A man called police to report seeing a cougar early Thursday morning.

He told police the cougar was seen near Winston Section Road and Hooten Street at 4:30 a.m.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the animal to call them at 541-440-4471.
