EUGENE, Ore. -- Dozens of college students lined up at the door of JCPenney Sunday morning. The department store offered 40 percent off on career attire purchases to each student who presented a college ID.

Rebekah Greig is a student at UO. She said the event could not have come at a more perfect time because she has an interview lined up for Monday.

"I'm just really happy that JCPenney is doing this suit event, " she said. "It's hard for a college student to find their career so soon."

JCPenney opened its doors at 11 a.m. and the deal went through 7 p.m.

Paola Supan, Assistant Manager for JCPenney, said this is the first year they hosted the event. She said they hope to further expand the event next year.
