Coburg car crash causes power outage

Fog might be to blame after a driver veered off Coburg Road, causing a major power outage.

COBURG, ORE - A driver veered off Coburg Road near Stallings Lane causing a major power outage at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to the Lane County Sheriff's Office, investigators believe dense fog was a factor in the crash.

When KEZI 9 News arrived on the scene, firefighters were blocking part of Coburg Road because the downed power lines were still energized. 

Because of the accident, 562 customers lost power according to Pacific Power. Electricity was restored around 11 a.m. 

The Lane County Sheriff's Office said the driver was not hurt.
